Fueling Financial Success

We Secured $58MM in Grants to Utah Small Businesses in Advanced Manufacturing

Between 2021 and 2024, the UAMMI Institute has facilitated millions in federal grants and matching funds from state appropriation, including grants from the DOD, Department of Commerce (SBA, EDA, Tech Hubs) and Department of Energy.

Funding Workforce Development

We Introduced 8,200 Students to Defense Manufacturing

The 47G UAMMI Institute is catalyzing the growth of Utah’s aerospace and defense workforce across 180 schools, 170 apprenticeships, and 19 STTR/SBIRs.

Supporting Small Businesses

We Helped IsoTruss Secure IACMI Funding to Fuel Growth

The 47G UAMMI Institute has closely partnered with IsoTruss on their growth tragectory. The Institute helped IsoTruss secure IACMI funding, which has been instrumental as the company builds the next generation of structural solutions.

SBA Regional Innovation Cluster Program

In 2019, the Small Business Administration (SBA) recognized Utah as a national Regional Innovation Center (RIC) for advanced materials and manufacturing, and awarded federal funds to grow the industry cluster in Utah.


Utah Defense Manufacturing Community Program

Federally funded by the Office of Local Defense Community Cooperation (OLDCC), this program helps states and local partners respond to changes driven by the DoD and ensure that defense manufacturing and supply chains are agile and responsive to defense needs.

UAMMI Joins 47G

In May of 2024, UAMMI merged with 47G to create the 47G UAMMI Institute. The Institute’s mission—to ensure Utah is a global leader in the use of advanced materials and advanced manufacturing—is core to realizing 47G’s vision of Utah as the premiere ecosystem for the aerospace, defense, and deep-tech industries.
