    PRESIDENT & CEO, 47G

    Aaron Starks is President and CEO of 47G, where he leads Utah’s aerospace, defense, advanced air mobility, and space innovation ecosystem. He has helped position Utah as a national leader in next-generation aviation and space development by bringing together industry, government, research institutions, and capital partners around a shared strategic vision.

    Starks played a key role in establishing Utah’s coordinated Advanced Air Mobility ecosystem and advancing the state’s spaceport initiative, helping drive infrastructure planning, regulatory collaboration, and public-private partnerships ahead of the 2034 Winter Olympics. In recognition of his leadership and impact on Utah’s innovation economy, he was named Utah Business magazine’s Leader of the Year in 2023.

    Prior to 47G, Starks supported FranklinCovey’s international expansion across Asia and later worked with World Trade Center Utah to help companies expand into global markets. He holds degrees from the University of Utah and Duke University Fuqua School of Business.

    Erin Rothwell, PhD, leads research at the University of Utah by advancing U Research, from discovery to translation, innovation, and impact. As Vice President for Research, she guides a top-tier R1 enterprise, strengthening policies, expanding equitable participation, and modernizing compliance. A researcher herself, her NIH-funded work examines the ethical and social dimensions of genetics, grounding her leadership in real-world impact. Her training across recreation therapy, clinical trials, and bioethics informs a leadership approach that prioritizes people while engaging industry and shaping policy, supporting researchers, partnering across sectors, and guiding how research is conducted, translated, and applied. She advances cross-campus partnerships and positions the U to meet national challenges, ensuring research improves health, technology, and society.

    CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, 47G

    Matthew Croshaw is Chief Operating Officer at 47G, where he leads internal operations and helps support the growth of Utah’s aerospace and defense innovation ecosystem. With more than 30 years of experience, he specializes in organizational effectiveness, leadership development, talent strategy, organizational design, and operational excellence.

    Prior to joining 47G, Matthew spent nearly two decades at Parker Hannifin, where he led initiatives focused on process optimization, leadership capability, organizational transformation, and enterprise-wide performance improvement across global operating groups. He has also served in senior executive leadership roles and advised organizations across industries including aerospace manufacturing, logistics, SaaS, nonprofit, venture, and consumer products.

    Matthew is known for helping organizations translate strategy into scalable operating models and sustained execution. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Utah State University, along with professional certifications in change leadership, organization design, and performance improvement.

    Paul Damron is the Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Manager for the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) Division of Aeronautics. He is a key leader in advancing AAM for the state of Utah, which is seen as the next evolution of innovation and transportation. Paul's experience in both geospatial development and AAM provides a unique vision for supporting AAM at the state level. This vision supports the regulatory framework needed to move the state in a positive direction while remaining safety-minded and fiscally responsible.

    Kathryn “Katie” Inman is an attorney in Holland & Knight’s Tallahassee office and a member of the Public Policy & Regulation Group. Her practice focuses on federal transportation law, regulatory compliance, and Florida administrative and land use matters. She has led complex rulemaking efforts, advised on aviation and transportation law, and supported implementation of major Florida legislative initiatives, including data privacy and healthcare reforms. A former general counsel to the Florida Attorney General’s Office, Ms. Inman also held senior roles at the FAA and NTSB. She holds a Remote Pilot in Command Certificate
