Ian Robertson is the Senior Director of Academic and Government Relations at 47G, where he leads initiatives that connect government agencies, academic institutions, and industry partners to advance 47G’s mission of strengthening Utah’s aerospace, defense, and strategic materials ecosystem. With a background in government relations and public policy, Ian has spent his career building impactful public-private partnerships and driving collaborative solutions across the state.
Born and raised in Sandy, Utah, Ian has lived in Utah his entire life and now resides in Vineyard with his wife, their young son, and two golden doodles who keep life interesting. An avid ice hockey player and fan, he’s especially excited to see professional hockey take root in Utah. Outside of work, Ian enjoys the outdoors, traveling, movie nights, and embracing his inner nerd.
