Jim Taggart

James R. Taggart has served as the president of Ogden-Weber Technical College since 2017. President Taggart has over twenty-eight years of experience as a technical educator and leader at Ogden-Weber Tech. President Taggart holds a bachelor’s degree in health training and promotion from Weber State University and a master’s degree in instructional technology from Utah State University.

A recognized leader in workforce and economic development, President Taggart is an active member of local, state and national organizations. He sits on the boards for the Utah Defense Alliance, Northern Utah Chamber Coalition, Ogden-Weber Chamber of Commerce, and the Northern Utah Economic Alliance. He also serves as a commissioner for the national institutional accrediting body, the Council on Occupational Education (COE).
