Specializing in workforce and community-engaged research and pedagogy, she serves as a strategist for the university’s Target Industry Initiative for expanding work-based learning and milestone career pathways that connect learners to jobs in high-priority sectors. Thorpe is a Ph.D. candidate at Kansas State University, with a research program centered on rural workforce development.
