Reed Walker

CEO iMod Systems

Reed Walker is the CEO and President of iMod Systems, a prefabricated building technology and manufacturing company redefining how communities, institutions, and organizations create and use space. With more than 40 years in the construction, design, and modular innovation industries, Reed has built a career as both a prefabricated building manufacturer and a licensed general contractor. He founded M4 Structures in Northern California, where he developed and delivered pioneering prefabricated projects including the Builder Magazine Living Home, Project Frog school buildings, and large-scale modular offices in Silicon Valley. These projects established a track record of combining advanced design, factory precision, and field execution—an approach that continues today with iMod’s proprietary steel frame building platform, designed to be globally transportable, seismically resilient, and adaptable across uses.
Earlier in his career, Reed was among the first in the United States to advance large-scale alternative energy development. As one of the earliest team members at Cogeneration National Corporation, he contributed to the creation of the country’s first commercial solar and cogeneration plants, including the SEGS solar fields in the Mojave Desert and the Port of Stockton District Energy Facility. His work in feasibility analysis, contracts, and financial modeling cemented a commitment to innovation that he has carried into the building industry. Today, through iMod Systems, Reed’s mission is to create future-ready, rapidly deployable, and sustainable building solutions that align with the forward-looking industries of 47G.
